The Museum
This is a hidden place we stumbled upon purely by chance! Our gaze was drawn to a wooden house that impressed with its intriguing attic and beautiful woodcarving. The house looked like a museum. We were amazed that this secret location had a whole museum in its own yard... even more incredible was the fact that the museum itself turned out to be the guest house.... For the first time in Bulgaria, we saw something like this - to live and move freely in rooms we're used to seeing only behind glass or ropes... The house holds an intriguing history; a well-known Bulgarian poet once studied here, and now it's home to this amazing family that wants to share the traditional life and culture of the locals with you! And the homemade feasts they served were so delicious that it was hard for us to leave.
