Off-road experience in the Rhodope Mountains
A small dirt road took us higher and higher up the Rhodope slopes. We climbed, and the only thing that took our attention away from the breathtaking views around us for seconds were the herds of deer running around us. Here, the wild life in the forest continued to thrive.
If you are looking for adventure, untouched nature and incredible views – this is for you. Even before we reached the house itself, I knew we would fall in love with this place and its hosts. It takes courage, bravery, creativity and a lot of love to build something so beautiful with your own two hands, and so far from civilization.
The hosts were waiting for us with their big smiles and eyes sparkling with excitement – truly admirable people who are trying to bring back the rhythm of life in this place, a place that once existed as a real village, but, unfortunately, is slowly disappearing from the memory of time. The house is a real jewel in the crown of the Rhodopes – every detail is meticulous, every piece of furniture has its purpose, every element is carefully thought out. With great taste and a sense of aesthetics, this young family creates a hospitable and cozy home, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the world and immerse yourself in a completely different dimension.
Be sure to catch at least one sunrise from the peak, which is located next to the house, and don't forget to look for the wild goats that come nearby every morning - it's worth it!
